Amanda Rose Smith grew up in rural New England, where she learned early on to amuse herself through music and stories.  She first became interested in film music as a kid, when she discovered herself humming movie themes more often than pop songs. Ever since then, she’s been fascinated by the way in which music and sound interact with other media.

Amanda was originally musically self taught but continued on to graduate from Smith College with a degree in Classical Composition and New York University  with a Masters in Music Technology. She possesses a wide range of skills needed in today’s fast paced audio world and is well versed in every aspect of sound production, from the words or notes on the page to the recording, mixing, and mastering processes. She is capable of delivering a finished product that is finely crafted at every stage of production.

During her time at NYU, Amanda studied under Deniz Hughes (Orchestrator, Interview with a Vampire), Ira Newborn (Composer, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Naked Gun) and Mark Snow (Composer, Xfiles, Smallville).  Both her music and sound work have won awards in various independent film festivals and game awards cermonies across the country. She has also recorded, directed, and edited numerous Audie nominated and winning audiobooks.

She is currently open to collaborating with professionals from the audiobook, film, television and game industries to make sure they achieve all of their wildest audio dreams.
